I worked at the nursing home for just over a year and I enjoyed the job, I hated having to leave it but I got sick and couldn't work anymore. During my year there I learned alot about the residents that were there, helping them get a deit that would be healthy but also enjoyable for them. I kept the kitchen clean with my team so that the residents wouldn't get sick, and we made sure to always make sure the food was good before cooking it. We always checked to make sure the food was cooked properly before sending it out to the Halls for the residents to consume. While the residents ate, we cleaned the kitchen making sure it was spotless, and when we got the dishes back from the residents we made sure to clean those as well. I myself didn't handle the food making, but I did help serve the food. My main job was making drinks for the 150+ residents we had, as well as setting up their trays and bringing the food to them, cleaning their plates when they came back, and cleaning the kitchen itself.
I worked as a Dietary Aide in a nursing home, I cleaned the dishes and prepared the food trays for the resident. I got to know the residents which allowed me to make sure they got food that they would enjoy and eat, as well as a drink they didn't dislike and refuse to drink.
I stocked shelves and helped customers find items they were looking for. I was mostly in the frozen and dairy section and due to this my interaction with customers wasn't that often, however I did my best to help them when I could.
I worked the front register and took the customers orders, some days I made the sandwiches as well for the customers, but I was mostly on register.
