Bi-Lingual self driven hard working dental assistant with excellent customer service skills desiring to develop professionally by edifying staff and clientele through meeting work and personal goals.
As a current EFDA at Klement Family Dental I help provide quality care, vital communication, comfort to our patients, and continued training to help with my own personal growth as well as staff. I also take on the role of clinical lead when needed and also help communicate with several labs for special cases ensuring the best quality for our patients. Working at a general practice has also allowed me to dip into specialties such as assisting with the implant process, orthodontics, oral surgery, and various root canal therapy's.
My time at Forest Dental Cafe helped me grow in a different yet vital role within dentistry. I was initially hired as a receptionist with a eagerness to also learn clinical. One of my highlights and how I improved our AR report to its best was by reducing appointment cancellations by implementing reminder calls and text messaging services , resulting in improved scheduling efficiency. In conjunction with reducing our collections with appeals and collecting outstanding balances.
As a key member within the front desk team at Pinnacle Dental this is where I developed my customer service skills to help provide a positive experience and build patient trust. I assisted with building our schedule as well as processing and recording payments and verifying insurance for both new and existing patients. To further provide efficiency to our office I would also help our clinical team if needed.
At the Dental Walk-In Clinic I had several key roles in this office to navigate to provide excellent care. I helped assist a variety of procedures being a secondary lead assistant such as composite fillings, prosthesis impressions, root canals, wisdom teeth removals and crown/bridge preparations. When I was not assisting I was up front as a front desk leader helping to answer phone calls to schedule/ reschedule/ cancel appointments, coordinate with our labs for pick ups and detailed information for special cases, and ordering all of our office supplies. In addition I was also a shift leader and this entailed making sure to prep for our schedule sometimes days in advance and coordinating with the team to ensure our day to day ran as smooth and as efficiently as possible. I also learned vital ways to help deescalate technical problems as well as patient concerns and any other conflict that arose.
