Public Service was my job. What I enjoyed the most about my position was the satisfaction of serving the public. I considered it a challenge to provide the best service that each of my patrons had ever experienced. Over the years I had the opportunity to serve and personally interact with many people on a daily basis. The job also presented many opportunities to troubleshoot a variety of presenting problems and still maintain the demanding time schedules and deadlines. I also developed excellent organizational skills. I contributed to the ongoing over-all success of my company by teaching Operation Good Start new employee classroom training and On the Job training.
After leaving the United States Postal Service I chose to continue my education by enrolling in classes at Johnson County Community College. It was very important to me to become current in computer skills and to develop communication skills. I also feel it is very important to be involved in community.
I also chose to pursue a rigorous training program in Biblical Counseling so that I could serve my community with skill and quality care through volunteer work and becoming involved in a local nonprofit organization.
Recently I decided to return to the workplace part time. Though my passion was to serve in the local church I did not find an opportunity to pursue. What I was provided was an opportunity to work in my local community in retail. I have experience with handling customer interactions and resolving issues promptly. I utilize communication and empathy to build strong customer relationships. Highly skilled in conflict resolution, communication and problem solving. I am know for reliability, connecting with customers and organizational skills.
Association of Certified Biblical Counselors is a credential for individuals who want to provide counseling basely solely on Scripture, ensuring theological faithfulness and practical skill through a three-phase process: learning (courses, reading, observations) exams and supervision with experienced counselors. It's for those seeking to help people with life's problems using biblical principles, distinguishing itself from secular counseling by its faith-based foundation.
