I was tasked with using Python 3 to build a "scraping tool" to read and analyze large data logs collected from buoys in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

• CI Compass, the NSF Cyberinfrastructure Center of Excellence, offers a distinctive Fellowship Program for undergraduate students pursuing studies in computer science, information science, data science, applied mathematics and statistics, embedded systems, communications, social sciences related to cyberinfrastructure, and other related fields
• The program provides student fellows the opportunity to:
• Learn about CI development and Major Facilities (MFs)
• Develop CI-related skill sets that are important to the work of MFs
• Engage with CI Compass and MF personnel through a virtual training and research program, and related professional workshops/symposia

Working at the front desk at SOAC included high quality customer service, knowledge of club operations, and management of sensitive documents such as employee payment checks and licenses. I was also responsible for opening the club for mornings as well as closing the club at the end of the day. To keep this position I had to demonstrate high levels of responsibility and care for my work environment as well as customer safety.

• Responded to emergency situations in a timely, efficient manner.
• Entered water immediately to pull struggling swimmers to safety.
• Educated patrons on safety protocols and enforced safety rules.
• Assisted swimmers in distress using appropriate rescue techniques based on individual needs and circumstances.
• Completed daily pool maintenance duties by checking chlorine levels, pH levels and other water chemistry.
• Monitored safety of guests in and around swimming pool.
• Provided friendly customer service to guests and addressed concerns.
• Cleared pool areas of debris and hazardous objects to increase safety.
• Trained new lifeguards on safety procedures and protocol.
