Garrett Ivy

Driven and motivated, I am eager to pursue a career in the business field, specifically in energy commerce. My ultimate goal is to make a positive impact on the world, guided by my faith in God. Each day, I strive to live as a devoted disciple, despite the challenges that arise. My commitment lies in choosing a path aligned with my values and purpose. Deepening my faith and spreading love are priorities, alongside excelling in the realm of business and obtaining a degree in this field. Ultimately, I aspire to establish a non-profit organization that carries out mission work in struggling countries, spreading God's word and making a meaningful difference.

I am heavily involved in my church, and I have had probably over 1800 volunteer hours in total of my high school career. Every summer I do um army which is a volunteer group who goes out into the community and rebuilds homes ramps churches and yards. We go and sleep at a church for a week where we do work nonstop. I have worked in Tyler, Tx Huntsville, Tx Crockett, Tx and West Columbia, Tx. I was also a Sunday school teacher at Christ Church Sugar Land for 2022-2023 where I taught kids 4-11 about Jesus and how much he loves us. I’ve done 4 bed builds where we build bed frames for foster kids who must sleep on the floor. I have volunteer numerous times at the Houston food bank. I have also volunteered every year since 2017 at vacation bible school are Christ Church Sugar Land a 4 day camp where children learn about Jesus in fun and interactive ways like through music and dance and through skits and story telling.
