Garrett Youlden

I started my business as a painting contractor installing specialized coatings to commercial buildings. We were often asked to perform repairs on buildings prior to the coating application. This process quickly evolved into building and renovating homes which became the core business. I built large custom homes in gated communities, doing most of the interiors myself. This included all trim, flooring, kitchens and bathrooms. My projects were always ahead of schedule and professionally appointed. As a result of that experience, I feel that I am of great value to your company.

As the sole owner I was involved in the process from design to completion, being responsible for budget, planning, procurement, hiring and construction. Therefore, I feel that I have full knowledge of the construction process.

I often consulted with customers to assess their needs and propose optimal solutions while evaluating suppliers to maintain cost controls for their budget. I watched market conditions to set accurate product pricing and take advantage of emerging trends.

The responsibilities I assumed with California Products involved working as a regional sales rep covering all of New England to Washington DC. I was responsible to work with my distributors to support them and to work with the architects and designers to create a need for our product. I also had the responsibility of traveling nationally to oversee all problems with installations and concerns with applications. It was also my responsibility to conduct the national sales meetings and regional meetings with the distributors.

As Athletic Director I recruited and interviewed individuals for coaching jobs, created the department budget, negotiated salaries, worked with the boosters and administration to maintain public support. The position of head football coach required me to work with staff and players to develope the athletes ability to work as a team and build on their position as student athletes.
