First, and most importantly, are the top three priorities I believe in and they are loyalty, honesty, and trustworthiness, and I pride myself in having all three. I don't drink alcohol or use illegal drugs. I have no criminal record and a perfect driving record. I have been successfully self-employed for the past many years and am an authentic entrepreneur. Time has come to slow down a bit and go to work getting a regular paycheck to add to my retirement. Some of you may not agree or like what I'm about to say but I think that resumes nowadays are a crock of shit. When I hired people I wanted to see them in person to see, how they dressed, how they presented themselves, were they confident, did I feel they fit the job, and did my gut feeling tell me yes or no, or maybe. That's the way I was brought up and succeeded in my business ventures. Of all the diverse businesses I have had only one failure...and it was a doozy but I learned from it. So I hope whoever reads this resume reads these thoughts first because I feel this summary of my background speaks for itself. Thanks for your time.
I have been married for 28 years and my Queen and I have raised two wonderful children, both with strong work ethics with one working in a top secret position with Homeland Security. My Queen and I have lived in the same home for over 30 years and she was raised in the city we live in. Those are the most important accomplishments I can think of.
I have an Intermediate POST (Police Officers Standard of Training) certificate (law enforcement).
I have been the owner of two restaurants, two bars, one catering business and other non-related businesses. I began taking classes in Metalsmithing approximately a year and a half ago as I was curious and interested in working with jewelry. The initial class was a six week class and I found, as did my instructor, that I was a "natural" working with precious and semi precious metals and stones. This led to continuing education which in turn led to me doing an extensive amount of free work (repairing, designing, and building, from scratch jewelry) my wife has 4 sisters and 2 sisters in law who, amazingly, all seemed to need repair to their rings and things (he's thinking "what did I get myself into"...lol). I started baking more and more intricate methods for desserts of breads and sweets, recently focusing on French baking since I already had a background in more traditional styles familiar to the average person.
