Mechanically inclined and safety-focused professional with experience working in industrial environments, including a nuclear power plant internship. Strong understanding of safety protocols, operational procedures, and industry standards, with an ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain compliance in high-responsibility settings. Skilled at troubleshooting mechanical systems, working effectively in team environments, and maintaining attention to detail while prioritizing workplace safety and efficiency.
While interning at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant I rotated through the departments inside the plant. These departments included I&C, Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, Radiation Protection, and Chemistry. At each department I observed everyday tasks and went on any jobs that were being done while I was there. I gained valuable experience in workplace safety and industrial standards within a highly regulated environment. I learned the importance of following strict safety protocols, conducting routine inspections, and adhering to operational procedures designed to protect both personnel and equipment. Working alongside experienced engineers and technicians, I developed an understanding of industry regulations, radiation safety practices, hazard prevention, and the significance of maintaining accurate documentation. This experience strengthened my attention to detail, accountability, and ability to work effectively in environments where safety and compliance are critical to daily operations.
