Accomplishments

Took JROTC for 4 years in highschool, learned and built leadership skills along with teamwork efficiency, performance and becoming more knowledgeable and motivated than before the class. I performed in 5 different teams whilst in JROTC throughout the 4 years having the class.

1. Raider team: a team of cadets who have to complete challenges as a team effectively to be beat all the other teams and win.

2.color guard: during assemblies and football games at UNR and reno highschool, we would walk onto the field and demonstrate the colors to the crowd as a ceremony during the national anthem.

3.drill: a competition where a team usually consisting of between 10-15 march in a formation, trying to march as perfectly as possible racking up as many points to win the competition.

Saber team: only performed at the JROTC's own mill ball, is a team of cadets wielding sabers, performing as a ceremony such as creating a arch walkway for the ball king and queen.

5. Rifle team: a competition of cadets using air-powered pellet guns to shoot targets from a distance trying to get the highest shot score to win.

Recieved Medals and awards I got from JROTC are which follows:

1. Raider team cord, drill team cord, color guard cord, Saber team cord, rifle team cord. A cord that you can wear on your JROTC uniforms, only earned through performing throughout the teams season and being exceptional and helpful to the teams.

2. Raider, drill, color guard, Saber team, rifle team medal arc pins. Earned through competing through an entire season on each team, awarded too those who fully put all there time into the events.

3. Rifle team profiency medal. You earned certain Medals for how well you shot throughout the season. I only joined the team senior year so I shot exceptionally well, at the top of my JV team winning a medal signifying how high my point tally was.

4. JV top shooter trophy. Won by shooting the best on the JV team. First year and did very well.
