Gavin Roy

• Worked the scenic section of the Snake River from the Wilson boat ramp to the South Park boat ramp (aprox 13 miles, class I and II) 2-3 trips a day, 5-7 days a week. (20,000cfs to 3,000cfs)
• Worked the whitewater section of the Snake River outside of Jackson Hole, 4 trips a day, 5-7 days a week. (18,000cfs to 4,000cfs)

• Taught prospective raft guides the basics of boat movement, reading water, group management, and familiarity with river gear. training was on the salmon river, as well as the Maupin section of the deschutes.
• Students aged 18-22.

• Taught intermediate Kayaking, focusing on moving from flatwater to class 2-3 kayaking
• Emphasis on group management and safety.
• ran everything from class 2 sections on the Deschutes to the Middle White Salmon with students

• Taught basic flatwater kayaking 4 hours a week to students who's experience ranged from first time boaters to students with a solid roll looking to perfect flatwater technique and playboat skills
• Emphasis was placed on creating a positive learning environment and increasing comfort with watersports.

• Was lucky enough to row a gear boat for a semester trip down Desolation and Greys canyons in Utah, 12 days on the water rowing 16- and 14-foot gear rigs
• Taught kayaking skills and expedition behavior to a NOLS course

• I drove a guide van with a 20-foot trailer and five rafts.
