Related success stories of persons with mental illness, highlighting their accomplishments in improving their outlook on life, or by bettering their mental and/or physical health achieved by their own efforts, and with assistance from CNS staff, such as certified peer, therapist, case manager, and psychiatrist. My articles were published in our award-winning Empowerment Zone Newsletter -2018 Michigan NAMI Media Award with reference to my stories.
Facilitated our successful Art Group classes, where participants worked on favorite art projects at home and were encouraged to interact with other members, if desired, for social contact.
Picked up and drove clients to community settings such as restaurant or sometimes shopping, talked to them and listened to their situations and problems and successes while projecting confidence in them and helping them get through obstacles or setbacks on the path to recovery. Composed progress notes and inputted required information in the computer.
