As a cultural ambassador, my role is to serve as a conduit between spanish speaking patients and english speaking staff at the hospital. We also have to follow certain code of ethics as:

• Promoted cultural awareness among healthcare staff, fostering an inclusive environment for all patients regardless of language background.
• Bridged language barriers, allowing Spanish-speaking patients to have equal access to healthcare services.
• Assisted healthcare professionals in delivering culturally sensitive care to Spanish-speaking patients.
• Maintained strict confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information following HIPAA guidelines.

I started working as a contractor medical interpreter since May 6th 2024.
