  • After leaving IHOP, I took what I learned there and became a Back of House employee as a dishwasher. I learned how to operate a dish machine so dishes, cups, mugs, silverware, pans, pots, and utensils were clean for servers and cooks.
  • A dish machine doesn't clean everything. That is why I made sure to scrub and wipe as much food and drink as I could to ensure cleanliness.
  • To keep my station clean, I cleaned and wiped sinks of all leftover food, threw trash in the dumpster, and made sure all floors were swept and mopped.
  • I learned how to keep a dish machine running well by testing for chemicals and malfunctions as well and removing grime with delimer.
