I easily got along with the other students and professors during this class. It was effortless to understand since I had previously taken Phlebotomy in high school, as well as with my teacher, Mrs. Wilson. My new professor, Mrs. Quan was super supportive and helpful during the 8-9 week course.
Apart from learning all of the steps for phlebotomy sticks, we also learned how to insert IVs. Although it was in plastic arms, it helped us get a basis on how to complete and know how to complete such a task.
Being a part of this event was really cool at that point in my senior year because it gave me first-hand experience with people outside of my peers. It also cemented my idea that I did want to pursue my studies in the medical field. Some of the things I did are listed below.
