This is my first job as a barista, but I enjoy it. Apart from being a super fun place to work, my co-workers and management make it 100% better. Some of the things and specialties performed at this job are listed below.

• Greeted customers and took orders for coffee drinks, food items, and other beverages.
• Prepared specialty coffee drinks such as lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, mochas, and Americanos.
• Operated cash registers to process customer payments.
• Participated in company events and committed to my roles, especially for smaller children but also adults.
• Had to learn how to handle angry or awkward interactions with customers.
• Maintained a clean work environment by wiping down counters, washing dishes, and cleaning floors.
• Monitored inventory levels of supplies and restocked when necessary.
• Provided excellent customer service by responding to inquiries quickly and professionally.

Although it is only part-time, I help with customer service and with more things listed below.

• Prepared presentations on products and services to potential clients.
• Coordinated with internal departments such as finance, operations, and legal to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients.
• Assisted account managers in managing key accounts by providing administrative support.
• Organized events such as webinars, seminars, and trade shows to promote products or services.

I easily got along with the other students and professors during this class. It was effortless to understand since I had previously taken Phlebotomy in high school, as well as with my teacher, Mrs. Wilson. My new professor, Mrs. Quan was super supportive and helpful during the 8-9 week course.

• Performed venipunctures on patients of all ages.
• Maintained patient records and documentation accurately.
• Followed safety procedures when handling blood samples.
• Maintained cleanliness standards in the lab by sterilizing equipment regularly.
• Located veins suitable for puncture to draw blood using sterilized needles, vials, and other equipment.

Apart from learning all of the steps for phlebotomy sticks, we also learned how to insert IVs. Although it was in plastic arms, it helped us get a basis on how to complete and know how to complete such a task.

Being a part of this event was really cool at that point in my senior year because it gave me first-hand experience with people outside of my peers. It also cemented my idea that I did want to pursue my studies in the medical field. Some of the things I did are listed below.

• Organized blood drive events and recruited volunteers.
• Promoted the blood drive activities to the public through various media outlets.
• Conducted interviews with donors to ensure they were eligible for donation.
• The teacher had me take patients to their seats and helped prep them
• I donated blood that day and stayed around to help with the cleanup process.
• Adhered strictly to all safety protocols while handling sensitive materials like blood bags or vials.
