Responsible for managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including financial analysis, data analysis, staff management, customer service, and marketing. Upon my start at Kalaveras, I introduced the idea of using Google Sheets to keep track of sales, losses, and operating costs, and assisted in the creation of company-wide accountability and communication through Monday. I also created a multi-lingual employee handbook in both English and Spanish. Additionally, I created an innovative 'song request' report for managers across all locations to collect valuable data from our customers. Most importantly, I developed and maintained relationships with multiple city chambers of commerce, introduced new and exciting ways of increasing sales, and successfully increased annual sales in 2023 from $34.7 million to $38.8 million across 12 locations, with an increase in sales of 12%.
As General Manager for Kalaveras at the Silverlake location, I had the following accomplishments. I was able to increase what was known to be the average sales per month at a similar-sized store from $304k to $528k. Maintain a labor cost of 19% compared to 24% to increase profit for stakeholders. Developed a strong relationship with the neighborhood by staying in communication, volunteering, and creating a maintenance schedule named "Neighborhood Sweep." Created the first 'song request' report for Kalaveras at a store level to acquire data from guests to both personalize and elevate the guests' experience. Maintained the lowest turnover ratio of 16% company-wide, with the company's turnover ratio ranging from 46% to 79%. Created what is now known as the Walk of Fame, but was initially named Daily Manager tasks. I had the honor of winning several company competitions, such as 'Halloween Cocktails,' Most Volunteered within our city, and lowest labor.
