Outside Plant Cable Technician

• Install cable (Underground, Ariel, and throughout the customers buildings MDF’s and more).
• Building pathway when necessary.
• Terminating the cable in several types of housings. This includes copper and fiber.
• Splicing with fusion splicers when dealing with fiber.
• Locating our underground utilities for oops tickets we receive.
• Sending red light after installation.
• Label and document cable counts and footages.
• Update printage and report changes based off of our cable pull.

• Safely drive a trash truck while picking up over 600 weekly stops on their specific day in a timely manner.
• Deal with lots of traffic and pedestrians always ensuring safety for them and myself.
• Interact with my customers and build a friendly relationship over the years.
• Clean out the compacter truck where things slipped past the main hopper area.
• Report any problems with the truck and making sure it got handled in a good time frame.
• Handling customers concerns properly even when they may be upset with something and always remaining professionalism during the entire day.
• Manage adding new customers to the route and creating a new route based off their location to ensure I’m being the most efficient I can be.
• Dump loads safely and without leaving any mess behind.
