I started in the cable industry in 2018, I have learned a lot along the way and always trying to soak up more knowledge as I go through my journey.
I’ve pulled cable through tunnels and manhole systems while splicing mostly fiber in enclosures, cassettes, spf housings, wall mount housings, rack housings and more.
I’ve did Ariel work while operating a bucket truck, working the reels and cable on the ground as well.
I’ve worked off of scissor lifts and more.
I have located underground utilities for oops tickets to ensure that the digging crews do not damage our cables and pathways.
I’ve managed a crew and over seen a few jobs myself from start to finish.
I’m able to read prints and interpret them to the best of my abilities.
I’ve operated fusion splicers and some copper splicer tools.
I’ve been briefed on OTDR machines and also sent red light during my jobs that I led.
All while doing these things safely to our standards and working with others well to ensure we are safe and efficient to keep our customers happy.
I’m always looking to advance my knowledge and grow as an individual while trying to get the best out my coworkers as well.
