As a ophthalmic tech my job was to get the patients checked in and dilated for the doctors. I would bring the patients into my check-in room and take their blood pressure and respirations, do a vision test, pressure test, peripheral test, and dilate the eye. At the end of the day I would also clean the office waiting rooms, check-in rooms, and the restrooms.

As a clinical tech my job was to assist the patients in what the needed such as going to the restroom, bathing, shifting in the bed, or eating. I would change the patients bedding and gowns. Part of my job also was checking the patients vital signs or glucose every 4 hours and taking the trash out in the rooms.
