I am a sedulous Korean-American high school student with experience running numerous school organizations, starting an independent passion project, and working as a summer camp counselor. Through this, I've primarily dedicated myself to inspiring greatness and happiness in others through my artistic ability and commitment to cultural appreciation. Utilizing my demonstrated success in each of these sectors, I've been able to create a pleasant atmosphere for those around me while also working full-time as a optimistic member of my community. My experience working in the recreation industry, as a TA, and launching my own club at school has resulted in numerous planning skills, regular collaboration with others, and even teaching abilities. I frequently ask myself, "How can I push them further?" and "How can I do better as an individual?" I not only enjoy motivating others but also myself to achieve our biggest dreams, and I hope that in the future I will be able to hone my proficiencies to assist in this from behind the screen in the animation and game media industries, that may advance any organizational cause.
When I was a younger student in middle school, I always looked up to and recognized the hard work that TA's did in every class. It was from then that I wanted to become one. I was fortunate enough to become a TA for one of my favorite math teachers, mrs. Sechkova. I currently keep her classrooms clean, neat, and properly sanitized for student health and classroom efficiency. I tend to oversee students in the classroom, enforce rules, and support lead teacher. Using my creative and art skills I make decor for her classroom including hanging up posters in a cute way, drawing cute designs on her white boards, and more. I hand out classroom materials like rulers, calculators, tests, homework and more. I most often grade tests from all of her classes in a quick and timely manner. I truly recognize the difficulties of being a teacher and how much work is put into it so I try to help her as much as possible. Sometimes I can even help the students out myself using my skills in math, life, and more.
The moment I got an email about a young student in the same grade as my little sisters struggles in her math class, I immediately responded at the opportunity. Math was something I never really struggled in and I confidently believed I could help this highschooler's grades. Through this experience I was able to established clear expectations for performance at the beginning of each tutoring session, setting achievable goals along the way. I most importantly improved the students understanding of geometric concepts by developing and implementing innovative lesson plans. It was slightly difficult in the beginning as she wasn't interested in learning and felt helpless in the class but I soon gained a connection with her and could teach her in a fun and simple way that allowed her to learn the material in an effective process. Her scores went from F's to C's, and lastly to B's.
Achieved 33.2K views on one of my Instagram animatics on my passion project art account.
I received praise from the one and only John Cohen, producer and executive producer of amazing infamous films such as Despicable Me, Angry Birds, Ice Age, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and more.
