When I was a younger student in middle school, I always looked up to and recognized the hard work that TA's did in every class. It was from then that I wanted to become one. I was fortunate enough to become a TA for one of my favorite math teachers, mrs. Sechkova. I currently keep her classrooms clean, neat, and properly sanitized for student health and classroom efficiency. I tend to oversee students in the classroom, enforce rules, and support lead teacher. Using my creative and art skills I make decor for her classroom including hanging up posters in a cute way, drawing cute designs on her white boards, and more. I hand out classroom materials like rulers, calculators, tests, homework and more. I most often grade tests from all of her classes in a quick and timely manner. I truly recognize the difficulties of being a teacher and how much work is put into it so I try to help her as much as possible. Sometimes I can even help the students out myself using my skills in math, life, and more.

• I increased participant engagement by incorporating feedback into program improvements and adjustments. When I originally started, because it was very difficult, I compiled a list of activities that youngsters enjoyed, such as obstacle courses and dancing to DJ Ralphi. I was even able to use my artistic abilities by drawing kids their favorite characters. I created numerous ways to entertain the children, which not only made my job more enjoyable, but also helped the children to have more fun while they were here.
• I facilitated communication between participants, staff, and management to ensure smooth operations. Informing the following crew about what transpired between kids or if someone was written up is critical to the camp's progress. A
• I maintained a safe and enjoyable environment by enforcing facility rules and regulations. Although the kids wanted to run around on the bleachers or play basketball all at the same time, their safety came first. To ensure that no one gets hurt, I would plan activities that were not only engaging and entertaining, but also did not produce pandemonium. I would limit the number of basketballs in one area so that people were less likely to be hit by them, and would offer a different activity in another area in case some youngsters became bored.
• Ensured facility cleanliness by conducting regular inspections and coordinating maintenance operations as needed. Despite the fact that I was merely a recreation assistant and this was my first job, I performed admirably throughout my summer employment. I wanted to be everything they were looking for and more. Whenever a spill occurred, I would encourage the kids to clean up their own mess, but I would additionally tidy up with them to set a positive example. As I persisted, people began to clean up for themselves, and the facility became cleaner than when I initially arrived. When I observed an unforeseen spill, I would dash straight to the bathroom to fetch some paper towels to clean it up. I have high expectations for myself and this recreation center, and I would never leave it looking in shambles.
• I used program assessment input to continuously improve services and increase satisfaction ratings.
• I oversaw camper activities in order to address behavioral issues while still promoting enjoyment, safety, and diversity. The most difficult aspect of this position, in my opinion, was lecturing the kids who would act up or make poor decisions here at camp. I felt awful having to confront them at first, but as time passed, I realized that without behavioral inspections, the facility would not be enjoyable for all of the children. However, I always made certain that the children did not feel anxious when they got into trouble, but rather saw it as an opportunity to learn. I always helped prepare leisure materials and supplies for each activity and as a recreation assistant, I would swiftly set up all the activities for the kids' engagement, whether it was dodgeball or kickball.

The moment I got an email about a young student in the same grade as my little sisters struggles in her math class, I immediately responded at the opportunity. Math was something I never really struggled in and I confidently believed I could help this highschooler's grades. Through this experience I was able to established clear expectations for performance at the beginning of each tutoring session, setting achievable goals along the way. I most importantly improved the students understanding of geometric concepts by developing and implementing innovative lesson plans. It was slightly difficult in the beginning as she wasn't interested in learning and felt helpless in the class but I soon gained a connection with her and could teach her in a fun and simple way that allowed her to learn the material in an effective process. Her scores went from F's to C's, and lastly to B's.
