I volunteer at my own elementary school and mentor fifth graders in their classes. I help students who have more difficulty keeping up with coursework, and I guide them through their assignments. I have learned so much about using different approaches to learning through working with these students.
I am a student ambassador at Go Pantry, a non-profit organization focused on fighting food insecurity in Kentucky. Through this organization, I have had the opportunity to assist in food drives, pack boxes of food for students, and meet an amazing group of people determined to help others.
I have been a dancer since the age of three, and I have competed since the age of eight. I travel with my team to regional and national competitions to perform and earn awards. I balance an extremely busy schedule with having practice for up to 22 hours a week. Cultivated strong relationships with fellow dancers, fostering a supportive atmosphere that encouraged individual growth and development. I am also an assistant teacher at my dance studio, and have the opportunity to mentor and build relationships with younger dancers.
