Accomplishments

MECH 012 (Mechanics of Materials) - Created a Matlab program to determine the total deflection of a leaf spring under a given load by calculating the maximum deflection in each leaf. Takes load, number of leaves, and leaf size as inputs.

ME 021 (MechE Lab I) - Topics of study include: Correlation coefficient, error propagation, stress-strain relationships of beams in torsion, bending, and axial stress; force transducers (e.g. the interaction between strain gauges and the tiny voltage produced in the Wheatstone bridge).

ME 121 (MechE Lab II) - Thermodynamics and fluids-focused. Analyzed the efficiency of an HVAC unit, boiler, V8 engine, turbocharger, and pump; compared flow rate discrepancies between turbine and orifice flow meters, showed the velocity profile of a fluid using a Pitot tube, and studied the diesel and spark-ignition engine (diesel cycle, otto cycle).

Lehigh Alliance of Battle Bots - Designed and 3D-modeled a horizontal spinner blade for our 3lb robot, Catch-22.

Pastimes

  • Music - Beatboxing, loop station, drums, guitar, piano
  • Engineering/Math - Interested in learning from various online sources about calculus, linear algebra, dynamics (fluid and non-fluid), and strength of materials, and attempting to thoroughly understand their derivations.
  • 3D Printing / Modeling mechanisms
