Work History

Veterinary Assistant

2 Years 11 Months
All Animals Veterinary Hospital | 11.2023 - Current

During my almost 3 years of experience at All Animals Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Hammond and Dr. Robinson, we see a vast clientele of large animals, small animals, and sometimes exotic animals. I started out as a veterinary shadow and was quickly moved up to a veterinary assistant. I also learned how to fill in as a receptionist when needed. Being promoted to veterinary assistant led me to be able to participate in more involved tasks, such as assisting in the exam room, prepping for surgery, collecting and running bloodwork, even assisting in surgery when needed, collecting semen for breeding soundness exams, assisting in teeth floating, and assisting in castration of food animals.

Mission Trip Volunteer

First Baptist Church Florence | 06.2026 - 06.2026

The mission trip to Rutherford County, North Carolina, was a week-long venture. The first day of work we did was brush-clear a very steep hill, involving skilled labor with chainsaws. This project was for a local church that had mostly elderly members and was unable to do it on their own. Later that evening we moved on to doing demolition of deck stairs for a single mother who had an older house. The second day we went back and built her deck stairs and redid the wind screen around her porch. The third day we went to Shelby Mission Camp and assisted with harvesting food for food banks and built a ramp for a 90-year-old lady. The last day we served the community with a free car wash.

Mission Trip Volunteer

2 Years
Green Hill First Baptist Church | 06.2023 - 06.2025

I participated in my home church's annual mission trip three times to our church plants in Cincinnati, Ohio. These churches are serving their communities but were unable to support themselves fully. However, once a year we send a team to serve, and I was part of it. During that time, we did demolition and construction work, which are the highlights of our service. We also handed out hundreds of flyers for church summer events to help them further serve their communities. Working and serving these churches taught me that I can learn to serve anywhere and everywhere, including in large cities. These trips also brought me many connections in communities far away from home.

UNA Game Operations Crew

3 Months
University of North Alabama | 08.2023 - 11.2023

In this federal work-study program I worked under the athletic department at UNA. I worked as a ball boy at soccer games, worked gates at football games, and sold water. Working at football games required long days and a ton of experience working with attendees. I worked as a mop boy during a volleyball game. I also worked as a parking lot director for basketball games. I also cleaned up equipment and other items after various types of athletic events. This helped me with connecting with my co-workers and dealing with the public.

General Laborer

3 Months
Shane Albright Auctions | 05.2023 - 08.2023

This job required moving auction supplies and required heavy lifting in the Alabama heat. I traveled and set up auctions on the road and also worked the pickups for the auctions. I also performed various tasks around the office, such as cleaning, yard work, and assisting with online auction pickups. This job also required me to work in-person auction meetups as well, which can involve long days of moving heavy objects and helping folks load them. This job showed me hard labor along with numerous experiences with dealing with customers and their belongings.
