I was born & raised in La Junta. Couldn't wait to get out of here as a teenager. Stuck around to get my degree at OJC, transferred to CSU to begin my Construction Management degree. I worked at Safeway for 7 years, while going to school. All the older people would tell me that I was going to be a lifer at the store, because it was a great job at the time. I told them No, I've got dreams I need to chase. I'm going to build things. Big things, Big Dreams. I had a lot of success in the construct industry, especially the commercial construction industry. If I still lived in Denver working for W-T, i'd probably be making 150k/ year.

- Started out as a carryout/ bagger, while in highschool. My buddy Curt and I became the store manager's right hand men, while in La Junta. We cleaned, waxed floors, did projects, shoveled snow during blizzards, anything he needed. I moved up to APFC: Overnight stocking, never ending hours in a check stand (I'm pretty sure I developed my carpal tunnel issues there!) Dairy, Frozen food and Produce was probably my favorite. I would've cut meat if they would've let me!
- I moved to Ft. Collins with the goal of going to Vet school, chose Construction Mgmt. instead because i'm too dang pragmatic and didn't get along with chemistry teachers.
- I also would drive to Estes Park and help their store, because they got crazy busy during the summer months.
- I know that I can fill any need in a grocery store.
