Look over prints. Make sure building progress is on schedule. Meet with subcontractors over any questions or issues. Walkthroughs with owners to show them progress and explain what is going on or how something is built if they have any questions. Ensure safety on jobsite. Always doing anything to help to make sure every contractor is on schedule. Make schedules. Work on budgets.

Looked over prints and checked my tablet everyday to make sure both matched. If the prints did not match then ask why. Figure out what points to shoot for the day so other carpenters had enough to do for the day. I would regularly do asbuilts or record where any under ground pipe or conduit ran.

Continued developing skills as a construction worker and on more wall work. Focused more on anchor bolts and learning to use a theadolite. Shooting grade. Once I was made a foreman I would make sure to go in early and set up a plan for the day. Go over goals and priorities on the jobsite with my superintendent.

Joined on as a union member. This gave me the opportunity to go through the apprenticeship and the schooling. I was able to take different classes to further my skills as a carpenter. I was also able to get certified in OSHA 30, telehandler/forklift, CPR training. I learned more on the commercial side of construction being in the union. As a big general contractor Hagerman focused on foundation work. This helped me learn more on footer work.

Worked in residential construction where I was able to learn and develop my skills. Learned framing, siding, roofing, flooring and window/door installations.
