• Greeting patients when they’re coming in the office.
• Answering incoming/outgoing phone calls

• Order/Assists to the bathroom or feeding
• Bed linen change
• Transporting them to the bed/chair in the mechanical lifts
• Checking vital signs, ACHS, Urinalysis, input/output
• Promote emotional support to patients and their families
• Bath, provide oral hygiene
• Perform EKG, Bladder scans
• Cleaning catheters, cleaning dialysis ports and cleaning them with CHG wipes
• Doing foley cares
• Documenting their input/output of urine or stool
• Documenting their input/output of food percentage
• Documenting vital signs, SPO2 etc.

• Responds to immediate needs of the patient by answering patient call lights promptly
• As directed by an RN, makes hourly or more frequent rounds on patients for safety, comfort and meeting patients needs/requests
• Positions, lifts, transfers and ambulate patients as directed by an RN use of safe and handling equipment
• Assist with setting up meals for patients and ordering room service meals
• Keep patients rooms tidy: refreshes patients linen as need, removes unnecessary equipment and linen
• Assists patients with simple hygiene/comfort measures such as washing hands/ face and oral care
• As directed by the RN, transports patients to other departments or when a patient is being discharged.
• Handles infectious waste and linen according to established hospital procedures
• Adheres proper infection control standards and hand washing techniques to avoid cross contamination
• Cleans and disinfects unit specific equipment
• Answers phones and or cover/assists unit Concierge as needed during the shift
• “Runner” to other departments, when needed to obtain necessary items for patient care.

• Verifying patient’s insurances such as BCBSIL , CIGNA, UHC, HUMANA, TRICARE EAST through Availity Portal.
• Verifying if patient’s have a copay, coinsurance or deductible based on the insurance they have.
• Verifying if patient’s claims are being rejected by the clearinghouse, denied by the insurance through Collaborate MD
• Medical records(progress notes) are printed out by a portal we use called: “IcaNotes”
• Scanning medical records to a specific PCP if needed.
• Emailing patients or the Doctor if needed.
• Translating appointments for spanish speaking pts.
• Weekly EOB’s from LCPA (lake county physician association), BCBS, HUMANA, CIGNA, TRICARE EAST, UHC.
• Communicating with the doctor and the patients on a daily basis
• Calling the pharmacies if needed when a pt needs a prescription refill that is not a controlled substance.
• Blood work referrals are done via: Quest Diagnostics Portal when a pt needs some sort of blood exam done.
• Several patients come into the office to receive their weekly session of TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy). It is a noninvasive technological breakthrough that involves applying a series of short magnetic pulses to stimulate nerve cells in areas of the brain known to be associated with major depression. The treatment for depression is sometimes called repetitive TMS (rTMS) because repetitive magnetic pulses are delivered.
• Setting up the TMS machine with the appropriate equipment needed.

• Maintaining clean and orderly checkout areas
• Cleaning duties such as: Mopping, brooming, wiping of the tables
• Sitting the customers in a dining table or booth
• Serving the customers beverages, meals
• Communicating with the other waiters and working as a team.
• Communicating with the customers while taking their order to try to provide the best service possible.

• Personal Care (ADLs): Helping patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and using the bathroom.
• Mobility: Repositioning bedridden patients to prevent bedsores and safely transferring them between beds and wheelchairs.
• Vitals & Monitoring: Taking temperatures, blood pressure, and heart rates, as well as tracking food and liquid intake.
• Patient Comfort: Answering call lights, changing soiled linens, serving meals, and keeping patient rooms clean and tidy.
