**Fulfillment Associate**

*Responsibilities:*

• **Picking:** Select products across six designated areas: oversized, auto select (ambient items storewide), chilled, frozen, and MTO (deli sliced meats or hot foods). Ensure quality by inspecting perishables for freshness, verifying expiration dates, and examining fruits and vegetables for damage or ripeness.
• **Staging:** Organize and allocate locations for picked items to streamline order processing. Perform hourly quality checks on selected orders by scanning items to confirm accuracy, condition, and completeness, and address any discrepancies such as damaged or missing items. Manage rejected substitutions as necessary.
• **Dispensing:** Efficiently load customer orders into vehicles, verifying customer details and ensuring proper documentation is completed. For 18+ orders, request valid identification and obtain customer signature on the transaction confirmation (TC). Coordinate with delivery drivers (Spark or Uber), input delivery codes, and ensure accurate placement of totes in vehicles (front seat, back seat, trunk).
• **Prepping:** Assemble orders for delivery, ensuring all items are ready for dispatch. Handle customer communications, especially for those unable to check in orders themselves, and manage the coordination of running orders to designated areas based on workload priorities.
• **Exceptions:** Address missing items by locating and retrieving them from one of five designated backrooms, based on the nature of the product, ensuring order completion.

In this position, plastic gardening pots were counted in quantities of 50 or 75 and thoroughly inspected for damage, including holes or any discrepancies from the manufacturing process. After inspection, I assembled boxes and packed the pots accordingly, ensuring proper packaging. The completed boxes were then stacked onto pallets and securely wrapped in plastic for shipment.
