Alpha Kappa Psi, Philanthropy Committee

I use partnering organizations to stage a yearly charity event for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This event is a significant aspect of our responsibility to enhance people's awareness and support of research and programs that would benefit individuals suffering from cystic fibrosis. Every year, we have the coming together of the community people, local business people, and volunteers, whereby there is a charity walk and a silent auction, among other activities that are familial in nature. Besides, it is an effective fundraising occasion to contribute to the organization's necessary revenues; it creates a unifying bond for individuals fighting cystic fibrosis.
