As a host, I was the face of the restaurant. I was the person people saw when they entered so it was important that my demeanor and attitude be warm and welcoming. Us hosts walked guests to their table and had short, sweet conversations with them before letting them know their servers name. My job as a host was not only to seat people, but to clean tables, gather menus, set up for big parties, fold kids mens, clean restrooms hourly as well as do bathroom checks. A restaurant host is a great job.

This job was an aftercare program fro children who stayed after school waiting to be picked up. Everyday I supervised and entertained children from ages 3-6. We would watch movies or play interactive videos, other days we would go to the playground together as a class. We also did things like play in gym or stay in the classroom and play dress up with costumes and play with toys. I did things like take children to the bathroom when they needed to go, fill up their water bottles, pass out snacks, and have their bags ready for their parents when it was time to go. I only worked this job during the school year (Aug 2022-May 2023, Aug 2023-Dec 2023).
