Launch is a third party software development company. Most developers work for client centric product teams, however I found a unique role building and maintaining internal tools which helped manage and run analytics on employee skills and career growth, project management, timesheets, etc. Our stakeholders were the C-Suite of Nexient and associated upper management, and I reported directly to the Principal Technologist. Below are some of the activities associated with this role:

• Java developer.
• Creating and maintaining over thirty APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Gradle, Hibernate, and MariaDB.
• CI/CD with Jenkins.
• Programmatically retrieving and integrating employee and project management data from third party APIs such as Hubspot and BambooHR.
• Integrating all the RESTful endpoints of our internal APIs through GraphQL.
• Migrating all internal APIs and databases to Azure cloud.
• Back end team lead. All Java hires cycled through my team on internal projects before being placed on client work.

Since Nexient was acquired by NTT Data (and subsequently became Launch), I have moved to client work. This involves:

• Joining either greenfield or maintenance projects.
• Adapting to new environments and frameworks.
• Being an Agile thought leader.
• Learning quickly so that I can start producing clean code in a timely manner is imperative.

• Devised and implemented the orchard's first ever farming data collection and analysis systems.
• Implemented the company's first ever point of sale system.
• Trained the management team to utilize their new tool; tracking sales over various metrics, adopting a digital employee management system, managing inventory, service recovery initiatives, etc.
• Trained seventy employees to utilize the digital employee management tools, and trained all cashiers to utilize the POS to its full potential.
• Managed collection and analysis of over $1M worth of sales data.
• Hiring Manager, implemented hiring and training for all outdoor Cider Season employees.
• Harvest Manager, managed six team members.
• Organic apple grower: Help apple trees live healthy, productive lives, through managing the health of the orchard ecosystem.

• We were a staff of four who executed over $7million/year in online sales.
• Liaised all post-sale communication and execution with the customers (processing, shipment, tracking, returns, and refunds).
• Daily execution of: the flow of goods, sales, order entry, shipping, updating the product pages on the website, editing copy, managing manufacturer relationships, etc.

• Purveyor of luxuriant adventure travels to hundreds of clients annually.
• Honed soft skills in communication and leadership while teaching and guiding extreme sports in mountain environments.
