A concierge wears the smiling face that customers see when they walk through the front door of an Anythink library. A concierge warmly greets customers and enthusiastically explores their reason for visiting. Concierge is the role that provides our community with individualized, transformative and exemplary customer service interactions. Because a concierge is comfortable and familiar multi-tasking and collaborating, and operates with flexibility, compassion, teamwork, emotional intelligence and situational awareness, every day brings unique opportunities for growth in personal and professional skills and relationships. Opportunities that are or may be specific to my role as a concierge include collaborating on the creation, development and sustention of the popular program AnyAbility, hiring, scheduling, coordinating, training and communicating with volunteers as the Sidekick Coordinator and thoughtfully representing my team on the district-wide committee Yellow Geckos.
