• Serve as subject-matter expert for workers’ compensation and related leave programs, interpreting federal, state, and LCPS policies to counsel employees and administrators on eligibility, benefits, and coordination of leave
• Act as primary liaison with the workers’ compensation third-party administrator (TPA), short-term disability, and long-term disability vendors to coordinate claims, eligibility, demographics, and documentation
• Oversee and process workers’ compensation and leave-related paperwork and online applications, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality
• Research, reconcile, and document complex leave and payroll issues involving workers’ compensation, FMLA, ADA accommodations, and disability benefits
• Coordinate return-to-work and light-duty accommodations in collaboration with the ADA Coordinator, Safety & Security, supervisors, and school administrators
• Prepare and maintain mandated federal and state reports related to workers’ compensation, disability, and paid leave programs
• Develop training sessions, presentations, and educational materials (guides, process documents, and reference tools) for employees, administrators, and HR partners
• Identify gaps in existing processes and recommend improvements; update standard operating procedures as programs and regulations evolve
• Manage leave system records, file attachments, employee communications, and reporting to ensure accurate tracking and compliance
