I type and fill prescriptions. I deal and work with insurances on billing to help get the patients medications to go through and also prior authorizations and share of cost with medicaid . I also work with customer issues within my job description unless it requires the pharmacist. I have been with the company over 8 years and one of the ways I have helped the company is by maintaining a positive attitude to keep our regular customers coming back. Some will only ask for me because of the relsationship i have established with them and their trust that i have earned. My knowledge over all of almost 20 years as a technician has been a benefit due to the knowledge I have gained of making sure everything from typing, dispensing and labeling medications are accurate. I also help with the drug order to ensure that everything that needs to be ordered is completed. At walmart we use a 9 point check system to ensure the accuracy of the patients name, medication and directions are correct when inputting a prescription. Customer care and service is and has always been my number one concern. I have also helped with the pharmacy inventory from the control inventory to the full pharmacy inventory.

I stayed home with my son to take care of him til he started kindergarten in 2010.  

I typed and filled prescriptions. I also took care of ordering medications, insurances, inventory and customer care. We had only 2 technicains and I was the full time tech. I helped the company by maintaining the integrity of the pharmacy by ensuring my responsibilities were completed efficiently and to the best of my ability.

I did everything a technician was allowed to do along with making sure patient care was a priority. Also I worked outside of the pharmacy as a cashier ringing up customers and when i wasn't working the register, I was working on the floor as a block leader which essentially, I straightend and cleaned the shelves all through every aisle of the store. I even ran the inventory one year to make sure everyone that was closing had their aisle straightend and cleaned. I designated 2 people to each aisle then once they were done, I had them rotate to the next one that was available to work on so the store was prepped and ready for inventory.
