Summary

Every educator has one or more teachers who influence them during their lifetime to become an educator themselves. For me, it was always my science teachers, from Mr. Williams in elementary, Coach Headden in junior high, Coach Milligan, Coach Moore, and Mrs. Peters in high school, and Professor Nichols at NMJC.

I have always had a passion for being in a science classroom and lab. The smells that fill the air, the excitement when it's time to test the Scientific Process, all of the elements that come together to make science such a fun and exhilarating subject.

As an educational aide in the computer lab while finishing my degree I have had the opportunity to assist students with a multitude of subjects and assignments. Demonstrated the ability as an educational aide to foster positive relationships with students and colleagues. Committed to providing culturally responsive support, and meeting diverse needs of students. Patient demeanor creates environment where students feel comfortable asking questions while learning new concepts.
