I have insight already into the VA system from helping my husband and his friends file claims to receive their percentage to receive va benefits. I also am understanding to the frustrations veterans face when having to talk to someone to figure out the steps and procedures to get things done. My husband deals with PTSD everyday so I also have a better understanding of how that affects someone and how frustrating things can be for them. I have a lot of hands on experience working with special needs children. My son Gunner huff was diagnosed with autism and sensor processing disorder when he was 2 years old. Gunner is also non verbal.
