Lead the Individual Giving program in the successful cultivation of major gifts.

• Manage relationships of key organizational stakeholders, while creating strategies to generate a comprehensive revenue goal of $30 million in annual contributions.

Oversee and manage the team portfolio of major gift donors and prospects with a focus on the community campaign - representing a shared goal of $30 million in contributions.

• Focus on qualification of prospects and current donor cultivation toward success in the Break-Through comprehensive campaign.
• Ensure the effective use of organizational tools such as the CRM to create reports, manage giving projections, and analyze donor giving.
  

Collaborate with Advancement team peers in Corporate and Institutional Relationships, Planned Giving, Community Impact & Operations on strategy and tactical planning to ensure alignment and understanding of goals, objectives while developing a path to successful achievement of the organization’s strategic objectives.

Support the United Way’s diversity and inclusion efforts.

Lead the fundraising strategy and team of staff for multiple state programs, including Ohio, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Supervise a team of 3 philanthropy staff including 2 State Directors of Philanthropy.

• Consult with the respective State/Area Directors and Field Program leadership on goals, strategies and projections and ensure goals are achieved.
• Leverage resources across the organization to elevate The Trust for Public Land at the local level as well as promote and advocate work taking place in our state programs with our national programs.
• Oversee Minnesota state program, advisory board, and portfolio with an emphasis on individual major gift prospects and donors.
  

Serve as a member of the Philanthropy Management Team working closely with a variety of internal partners including the Field Advisory & Support Team, Finance, Marketing, Philanthropy Operations and Philanthropy Programs teams to drive the integration of an organization-wide philanthropy program.

• Developed and executed a comprehensive and diversified strategic development plan encompassing all aspects of fundraising for the Minneapolis Jewish Community.
• Led the annual, planned, restricted, directed, emergency, capital and endowment, and corporate giving programs.
• Reviewed and evaluated existing development operations while initiating new development strategies to support an integrated approach to community fundraising.
• Focused on merging federated fundraising model with development work of the Jewish Community Foundation to create holistic donor-centric philanthropic partnerships gaining maximum efficacy of fundraising dollars.
• Restructured development team and implemented performance metrics to determine success of development strategies and activities.

Accomplishments:

• Strategized, planned, and launched COVID-19 relief campaign partnering with 25 independent agencies to raise over $14 million.
• Exceeded 2020 annual campaign goal raising over $10.5 million.
• Led the requirements, bidding, and implementation process for new CRM.
• Collaborated with consultants to strategize capital and endowment campaign.
• Managed portfolio of 90 households. Co-managed 90-100 households with CEO.

• Led and managed the daily operations of the Great North Innocence Project.
• Managed Board in developing strategic annual work plans and budgets.
• Evaluated organizational successes and challenges by providing data driven reports to ensure informed assessment of organizational activity.
• Led and managed fundraising activities, including strategic advancement planning.
• Identified and applied for new grant opportunities, managed existing grants.

• Built donor relationships for the University, collaborating with collegiate units to effectively present the case for philanthropic support of the University.
• Managed a major gifts portfolio of 150 prospects for all collegiate units within the University system with an emphasis on soliciting gifts at the $25,000+ level.
• Developed and implemented individual donor strategies and proposals, while providing appropriate recognition and stewardship of donors’ past giving.

• Provided full representation for a case load of 150 - 200 criminal defendants facing both Felony and Misdemeanor charges.

• Managed, coordinated, and staffed international training programs funded through U.S. Department of State and U.S. Agency for International Development grants.
• Prepared program proposals and responded to government requests for proposals.

• Interviewed clients, drafted legal memoranda, and researched human rights situations in client countries of origin to assess strategy toward successful asylum claim.
