During my time as a resident, I worked with the on-site Instructional Coach to co-design and lead adult learning initiatives targeted at increasing rigor in Project-Based Learning curriculum design and implementation in the following ways:

• Implementing collegial coaching system in line with staff's professional development goal of increased rigor across all projects and classrooms.
• Providing coaching and professional development opportunities for 20 faculty members to improve practices and modeling instructional strategies.
• Analyzed student data, diagnosed instructional needs, and identified research-based instructional strategies.
• Created customized professional development workshops tailored to address specific project design challenges identified within each instructional team.
• Contributed to positive school culture by collaborating with administrators and staff on various initiatives.
• Boosted teacher morale through recognition celebrating success stories from classrooms across campus.

• Utilized curriculum which reflected diverse educational, cultural and linguistic background of student body.
• Provided advice and guidance to students needing morale-boosting and academic advising.
• Maintained regular contact with parents, many of whom spoke Spanish.
• Led 15 students to participate in school's first entry in National History Day. All entries placed, and two groups went on to state finals.
• Developed curriculum for new Honors World History class.
• Helped supervise and run with students in SRLA(Students Run Los Angeles) culminating in completion of Los Angeles Marathon.

• I entered a class that had experienced massive turnover. They had substitute teachers for 2 months before I started. They needed a consistent teacher who cared about their education and I provided that.
• Talked with students in need of extra attention and made plans to assist with concerns.

• Using data driven assessments, collaborated with department head to identify strengths and weaknesses.
• Individualized lesson plans to meet academic level of each student and entire class.
• Created safe and inclusive classroom environment of respect and rapport to promote positive learning experience for youth with diverse backgrounds.
• Created classroom management system leading to increased classwork completion and participation.
