During my time as a resident, I worked with the on-site Instructional Coach to co-design and lead adult learning initiatives targeted at increasing rigor in Project-Based Learning curriculum design and implementation in the following ways:

  • Implementing collegial coaching system in line with staff's professional development goal of increased rigor across all projects and classrooms.
  • Providing coaching and professional development opportunities for 20 faculty members to improve practices and modeling instructional strategies.
  • Analyzed student data, diagnosed instructional needs, and identified research-based instructional strategies.
  • Created customized professional development workshops tailored to address specific project design challenges identified within each instructional team.
  • Contributed to positive school culture by collaborating with administrators and staff on various initiatives.
  • Boosted teacher morale through recognition celebrating success stories from classrooms across campus.
