- I was an artist assistant to Robin VanLear, retired artistic director of the Cleveland Museum of Art, in making full-scale puppets and head pieces to be worn in her performance piece, "This is For the Birds". While my main role was as an assistant, I was also a camp counselor as the month leading up to the play had two sessions dedicated to different age groups in which campers would come to the studio during each work day and make their own puppets and other props with my instruction and demonstration.
