Hieu Nguyen

I learned the basics to communication and how to explain and teach various principles to incoming start ups. I also learned leadership and management skills that maintains the work ethic, positive attitude, and productivity.

I was a cook at harborview. For my time there, I performed tasks related to food prep and cooking food such as cutting vegetables, mixing ingredients, cooking food, and portioning food. I also maintained the cleanliness of the station and even did cross training and was training on the register towards the end of my time there. I communicated with customers while I trained on the register and communicated effectively with other cooks and people working there in order to ensure everyone was safe and timely while we served customers, learning Japanese as an English speaking foreigner to improve my communication skills.
