• Electronic Key Management System Manager
• -As the manager for the EKMS program for the command, I have been in charge of the program in its entirety for going on three years. My responsibilities include acting as the liaison between the command and the command that issues our confidential material, supervising spot checks, scheduling training, delegating tasks among my work group, supervising destruction of classified material, qualifying new personnel, maintaining records with retention periods of up to three years and creating a comprehensive reference guide relating to the program material.
• Volunteer Coordinator
• -My responsibilities as the command volunteer work coordinator include scheduling volunteer events for the command and keeping track of the volunteer hours accumulated by the members of my command.
• Operator
• -My operating experience at my current command includes operating and minor troubleshooting of Navy computer and information exchange systems.
• Damage Control Systems Maintenance
• -I was a Damage Control Petty Officer on the USS George Washington, my responsibilities included cleaning and performing maintenance on CO2 bottles, fire stations, emergency lighting systems, hatches, scuttles and ladder wells on the ship. I also held training for members of my division so they could become qualified to maintain the equipment.
• Global Command and Control Systems Manager
• -As a GCCS manager/operator I was responsible for maintaining an operational and tactical picture used by the Admiral to make strategic decisions. This included communicating with sailors on other ships and using computers, chat and radars to located and track ships and aircraft within a specific area.
