Worked along side of millwrights keeping work area clean and safe of any visible hazards. Scheduled and divided work up with other laborers to be as efficient as possible. We would keep inventory and organize tools, material, order as needed to keep things running as smooth as possible. We kept up with the hygiene of our company work area.
Cover the work area I was assigned to. Learn the process of extrusion to try and keep production as high as possible. Eventually becoming a extrusion Operator. In 2006 I was considered a leadhand. This job involved scheduling the extrusion lines to the operators, communicate with the shift before and following shift. On a daily basis make sure correct orders are running in color and length. Keep the production rate above what was expected. Work alongside other departments to make sure the customers received the product on time. Trouble shoot any issues and mentor operators as they moved up through the levels of operators. 2012 the production manager moved me to trouble shooting and research and development. This job involved working with other departments to make new tooling up until approved by the customer for production. Alot of the times this position involved any parts that were an issue that needed trouble shooting. This position involved with working together with maintenance, die shop, quality control, customer, and production departments.
