Haeundae Story - “Become a cultural community of hope through narrowing poverty gap”, Engaged with diverse segments of society, including urban communities facing socioeconomic challenges that are often underrepresented in media narratives. Conducted spatial and socio-economic analysis with a particular focus on contemporary urban renewal initiatives. Investigated the complex relationships between urban spaces, social demographics, and economic factors. Conducted research to explore the city as a dynamic realm of everyday experiences and social interactions. Explored the widening gaps in society and proposed potential solutions for a more equitable future, presented through the lens of a travel essay. Selected as a textbook for the GIS and Society course (Professor: Dr. Jin-kyu Jung, University of Washington) at Pusan National University (PNU).
Served as a volunteer for Sooyoungro Church International Medical Service Team, assisting medical professionals in providing dental care, soliciting and distributing donations from dental equipment manufacturers in Korea, and organizing services with local students and volunteers. Provided medical and dental services to rural communities and achieved an accomplishment in building and maintaining a permanent dental clinic in rural Cambodia. Conducted an in-depth analysis of long-term strategies for international volunteering, with a focus on collaborating with government policies and local jurisdictions.
Provided comprehensive dental care, including fillings and extractions, along with detailed oral hygiene instructions to underserved patients. Addtionally, coordinated with local volunteers to deliver nutritious meals to the Dagupan City Jail in San Fabian, contributing to the well-being of its residents.
