• Trained on HIPAA compliance policy (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) in protecting PHI to minimize risk of security breach of confidential information.
• Responsibilities include organization of physician’s credential applications by scanning, updating, and filing documents to appropriate network and local storage
• Responsible for organizing and disseminating incoming and outgoing documents including (but not limited to) provider credentials and supporting documents, license certificates, privileging notifications, by mail, FEDEX and faxes to appropriate personnel.
• Creates physician profiles through FCVS (Federation of State Medical Boards) to be utilized in physician licensing applications in all the 50 states.
• Creates physician packet profiles to be submitted with the applications to affiliated hospitals.
• Proficient in the use of Outlook, Power point, Word and Excel documents to maintain over 50 physician information saved in the network drive.
• Utilizes the SYMED program to keep track of all of the physician’s profile to be sent to hospitals in affiliation with the company
• Communicates with the whole Credentialing, Licensing and Privileging team to maintain and or improve an effective work process.
• Performs primary source verification, obtains credentialing documents and creates monthly reports for the whole credentialing department.

Acted as an interim Infrastructure Manager when former manager exited the company abruptly. I was left with the choice to either leave the company (as many have offered a role) or not leave during a great time of need. I chose to solo handle the full role and acted as the sole network IT point of contact supporting our HQ and over 40 chapters nationwide for 5 months until a suitable replacement has been found.
