Currently, I am working on cells Kluyveromyces marxianus and Kluyveromyces lactis as they can produce pure GOS. Furthermore, in vitro experiments will be conducted to study the effects of GOS on gut microbiota and health outcomes. Certain gut disorders, such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), are associated with alterations in gut microbiota. By studying the effect of GOS on gut microbiota in these populations, researchers may be able to develop targeted therapies to restore a healthy microbiota balance and improve symptoms.
