• Contributes to the public safety mission by providing administrative oversight for officer case supervision and report writing to ensure compliance with Department of Corrections and district policies.
• Provides day-to-day supervision and training of District staff.

• Enhances public safety through the use of Evidence-Based Practices in the training and supervision of staff, with a focus on the encouragement of better outcomes for supervisees.
• Updates, reviews, and implements Employee Work Profile and yearly Interims.
• Works closely with community stakeholders to assist supervisees with services and ensure public safety within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Attends and contributes to Portsmouth Intel Meeting with Portsmouth Police Department and Gang Intel Meeting with multiple Hampton Roads Law Enforcement agencies.
• Maintains OC Spray and Ballistic Vest inventory.
• Works closely with Statewide Gang Investigators and conducts Tattoo Surveys on inmates for gang identification/certification purposes.

• Co-Chair of The Portsmouth Reentry Council Meeting in collaboration with The Portsmouth Social Services.
• Conducted weekly institutional visits to assist inmates with reentry needs to ensure a seamless transition into the community.
• Facilitated workshops in the institution to include Mock Interviews, Resume Writing, and Making It On Supervision.
· Provides day-to-day supervision to probationers who require both intensive and regular probation/parole/post-release supervision to include Mental Health and Reentry caseloads.
· Assesses the criminogenic and treatment needs of the probationer.
· Actively applies evidence based practices including effective communication skills, principles, and techniques to promote internal change within the probationer.
· Proficient in CORIS and COMPAS.
· Collaborate with probationer, district, and community resources to develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
· Make home and community contacts in accord with case needs and supervision plans.
· Prepare Pre-sentence Investigations, sentencing guidelines, and other reports as assigned in a timely manner.
· Testify and provide sentencing recommendations to the court/attorney
· Works closely with Commonwealth Attorneys, Judges, and The Norfolk Community Servies Board.
