Supervises a specialized caseload of high-risk inmates and probationers; performs investigations, casework and administrative services. Effectively applies evidence based practices including effective communication skills, principles, and techniques to promote internal change for the probationer. Collaborates with probationer, district, and community resources to develop and manage individualized treatment plans. Make home and community contacts in accord with case needs and supervision plans; prepare sentencing guidelines, and other reports as assigned in a timely manner;Emphasis on coaching and mentoring of all line probation officers, covering vacancies, providing training for new staff.

• Meets with and interviews probationers and families to evaluate progress.
• Recommends rehabilitation, treatment and remedial actions to the court.
• Provides counseling and facilitates support groups.
• Prepares case files and maintains records on probationers.

• To plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate the institution’s approach to offender reentry and cognitive community based on principles of evidence based practices.
• Identifying offender criminal risks and treatment needs; motivating offender change through case plan agreements, incentives and sanctions; and providing programs/services to address criminogenic needs.
• Also responsible for monitoring, tracking, and managing housing assignments; job assignments; progress; programmatic activities and review of offenders participating in the Diversionary Treatment Program, which have been classified as seriously mentally ill, Shared Allied Management and/or Restrictive Housing.

• Ensure the safety and security of the institution and of the public.
• Provide counseling to the offenders when the counselors are off duty.
• When treatment staff is not available I am the first line defense when a crisis situation arise.
• I have a set of skills that assist me through each ordeal. Some of those skills are: active listening, Critical thinking, Tolerance, Setting Boundaries, Empathy and communication.
• I also have the skills of making reports anytime something may occur.

• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitor surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; allowing entry into the area by taking IDs.
• Obtain help by sounding alarms when needed.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting to supervisors; informing violators of policy and procedures; making sure that no trespassers enter the perimeter.

• Greeting customers and making sure they find everything they need;
• Ringing up customer purchases throughout the day;
• Operating cash registers and sticking to store policy on returns and coupons;
• Putting away merchandise and rotating stock as needed;
• Communication skills and teamwork when help is needed as well as reporting to the supervisors.
