
• Responsible for reading blueprints, fitting, and welding metal components to create or repair structures, equipment, and products per specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to plan layouts and welding sequences.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit parts using clamps, jigs, fixtures, and hand tools.
• Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux Core welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, shears, press brakes, grinders, drills, and plasma cutters.
• Measure and inspect parts using tape measures, calipers, squares, and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Perform quality checks on welds for penetration, porosity, cracks, and uniformity per AWS or company standards.
• Conduct post-weld finishing such as grinding, deburring, and cleaning to meet cosmetic and functional requirements.
• Repair and modify existing products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and re-welding components.
