Isabella Perez

First job as a juicer was held for 2+ years with good work ethic, customer service and team work. The second job held was a full time care taker for a family member who had hip surgery. Job included cleaning house, assisting individual with movement and physical therapy, making meals, keeping track of medication and providing transportation. The third job held was in the Church finance department as well as working with youth ministry. The job included financial statement organization, managing incoming and outgoing money, scanning, filing and organizing. Youth ministry included assisting event sets ups, activities and games, student interaction and ensuring the safety of children.

Devoted Church volunteer at VBS for 10+ years as well as the worship team for 6+ years. Volunteered at the local horse ranch in San Juan, for a program called the Shea Center. It is an equine therapy program where volunteers assist therapists with clients who have physical, mental or behavioral disorders/disabilities. Duties performed included cleaning and tacking horses and assisting the therapists in keeping the clients safe while on the horse. Volunteers also had the privilege assisting the therapists in speech therapy, physical therapy, fun activities, etc.

Completed Practicum Sites: Both sites supervised by Dr. Ravaglioli 

La Mirada Village for the Elderly (Fall Semester 2022) 

- Hours worked: 1 hour, 1 day a week for 12 weeks

- Population: Seniors over the age of 90 with Dementia, or other health concerns/conditions

- Interventions used: Sing along, movement to music, song fill in, verbal communication

- Goals: Expressive Communication, Improved Quality of Life

Eagles Nest Preschool Toddler & Infant Center (Spring Semester 2023)

- Hours worked (1 hour, 1 day a week for 12 weeks)

- Population: Toddlers ages 2-3yrs old

- Interventions: Movement to music, animal identification, sing along, echoing/mirroring, following musical prompts, sequencing

- Goals: Increased Academic Skills, Improve Direction Following, Increase Social Communication Skills
