Volunteering at Kaiser Permanente Hospital is where I had the opportunity to interact with and support patients and families with a warm and comforting demeanor. A quote that I live by is “People will not remember what you said or did, but they will remember how you made them feel”. I saw this quote hanging on the wall when I walked in for my first day of volunteering at the hospital, and it inspired me. Every day I went to volunteer; the sign was a little reminder of who I am and what I stand for.
I’ve volunteered at Kaiser Permanente Hospital, where I got the opportunity to interact with and support patients and families, with a warm and comforting demeanor. I was given this opportunity by being selected in an interview. This volunteer work allows me to witness what it is like for a worker in the medical field, and it continues to fuel my passion for helping others.
