Jack Buchanan

Over the last 3 years i have had the privilege and opportunity to be a part of Kingdom business within the area of Baytown tx. After graduating high school at Coldspring Oakhurst I felt God leading me to Baytown tx where I have served as Student and Family outreach minister. I began with 3-5 students and expanded the program to serve about 40 students, with around 60 on the roster. Established partnerships with local schools and community organizations. We Have created a culture that I'm very proud of within the Student Ministry and the church, a culture of excellence, God does not call us as the church to be status quo God calls us to be radical in reaching the lost. Some of the most impactful things I've been able to help build and foster are a complete remodel of the student worship center. including AV, tech, stage design and tearing down walls and ripping out carpet.. A Student Ministry team of about 10 adults that faithfully serve, and lastly we helped lead 13 students to the Lord and follow through believers' baptism.

Over the last few years ive gotten to work with my dad at Buchanan Networking. I Hung 8 speakers at Cleveland ISD, We installed 4 massive array styled speakers in a brand new rodeo arena near Huntsville texas.. We also put new wifi in at several school districts and churches across texas. This experience has helped me drastically in ministry, being hands on and having experience in technical needs. I hung all AV equipment in the new Student Space and Lighting in both main sanctuary and Student Space. I enjoy putting together events, and going all out with tech during youth nights!

My Senior year of High School I worked under Stacey whitt former youth pastor of First Baptist Humble. He help develope me as I prepared for Ministry, He taught me the business side of ministry, Budget request, how to plan and prepare church budgets, cash checks, Plan and budget ministry events. Before i stepped into ministry I had a full year of teaching and experience preaching, leading bible studies, sitting in meetings with other youth pastors such as Micheal Van Gorp, Brain Pierce, Danny Phillips..

I am currently enrolled in lancaster Bible College for my degree in Biblical studies and pastoral leadership! I also have completed several siminars and classes on apologetics and student ministry leadership. Most notably I went to a seminar at Dallas Baptist University on Apologetics...
