Summary

Desktop support working with Windows 95, I started using Excel to make hardware scanning tool for the
300-desktop area. I was also using and implementing images of copied working images for the site using ghost software and pc anywhere to dial in to fix issues remote. Through the years as the technicians came and went I also replaced the old hardware with new and updated hardware.

While I was working with Afni IT, I was also serving in the United States Marine Corps in the Active and Reserves in extensive Leadership roles. My final Discharge was in March of 2007, I was still in the Tech Field with Afni and was able to train in Telephony and Networking. I also assisted in setting up 3 more Afni sites in the Tucson area.

I have worked with Windows 95 all the way up to Windows 11, Windows NT all the way up to Windows Server 2020.

I also became a Team Leader working with Desktop Support and Work at home Tech support.

  • As part of the 2nd Marine Division, we had several visits from weapons teams inquiring about the types of weapons that we were using, they also introduced us to the new weapons systems that were being worked on.
  • I along with my unit gave a lot of information on what would be good or not good along with reasons some parts of an 81mm mortar were good for the type of environment we were exposed to.
  • We also looked at types of mortar rounds that were going to be used with the new Mortar weapon system.
  • As a Marine Corps Infantryman, I was also asked about some of the shoulder weapons that were being used at the time like the Dragon, and the SMAW.
  • We also had some input in some of the new laser range finders and sights for the M-16 A2.
  • Served in operation Desert Shield/ Operation Desert Storm.
