Every Monday and Wednesday at the Woodland Senior Center from 9am-12pm, I would help seal food into trays and pack them into bags for the drivers to take to various homes. Upon return, I would unload, clean, and store all parts of the bags. On Wednesdays, I would help serve plates to those who attended the congregate at the senior center. Afterward, I would help clean the dishes as well as the containers that the food arrived in. It was a good environment that required a lot of easy teamwork with the same people working each day I volunteered.

Through Woodland High School Key Club, the local section of Kiwanis Club, I would sign up for community service in the Yolo county area. This included serving food at the local crab feed, placing wreaths on the graves of soldiers during Christmas time, setting up for/cleaning up after events, and planting trees around the city.

I worked as an assistant coach to the local challenger team, which is a baseball team for children with special needs. I helped them learn the basics of baseball as well as assist them in games with other challenger teams. Working with the other assistant coaches helped to encourage socialization and teamwork with the players.

At Home Church, I volunteered every Monday with many other people to unload and fill bags with various food items as well as beverages. Each bag was meant to last a family a week. Families would receive the food by driving up to the front of the church and tell me or another volunteer how many families they needed food for, to which we would load the bags and beverages into the vehicle. I would help clean and disassembled any boxes used during the packing.
